Mina Kari (Enameling)

Minakari, also known as enameling, is a traditional Persian art form that involves decorating metal surfaces with vibrant colors. This intricate craft dates back to around 1500 BC and is characterized by detailed designs, often featuring floral and geometric patterns. Artisans apply layers of colored glass powder to metals like gold, silver, and copper, which are then fused in a kiln. Today, Isfahan is a key center for Minakari, continuing to preserve and innovate this beautiful art form.
